TORONTO, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Canadian's main stock market continues its last week's rising Monday as energy stocks performed well.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index 102.29 points to end Monday at 16,085.61.
On the index, 152 issues advanced and 93 declined.
The Canadian dollar dropped 0.22 cents to 0.78.11 U.S. dollar.
Energy stocks rumbled ahead, as Suncor gathered 1.83 dollars or 3.6 percent to 52.75 Canadian dollars while Imperial Oil leaped 83 cents, or two percent to 42.25 Canadian dollars.
Health-care sector was also up, with Canopy Growth jumping 6.4 percent to 32.25 Canadian dollars while Cipher Pharmaceutical rose five cents, or 1.5 percent percent to 3.46 Canadian dollars
Magna International jumped 3.7 percent to 83.80 Canadian dollars while Canadian Tire gained 1.9 percent to 165.52 Canadian dollars.
