FRANKFURT, July 27 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 51.17 points, or 0.40 percent, to close at 12,860.40 points.
German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.45 percent. German airlines Lufthansa and multinational chemical firm Linde rose by 2.28 percent and 2.25 percent respectively.
Chemical group BASF lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 2.75 percent. Deutsche Boerse group went down by 1.70 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler decreased by 0.64 percent.
BASF was the most-traded share with a turnover of 395.38 million euros (463.11 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
