SILKEBORG, Denmark, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Fourth player Alina Paetz drew her stone into the house to score the one point that gave Switzerland an 8-7 win over Sweden to clinch the champion of World Women's Curling Championship 2019 here on Sunday.
"It's amazing. We are a new team and we thought we would try it out and try for some success. Now we are world champions... unbelievable," Switzerland's skip Silvana Tirinzoni said.
South Korea collected a bronze medal for the first time as they beat Japan 7-5 in an earlier match.
